In Celebration of

David James Wilson

April 4, 1951 -  August 17, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of David James Wilson, son of the late Douglas and Christina.

He had a green thumb for gardening. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome and will be used to plant a tree/bench in his honour. He also loved children. If you wish, a monetary donation can also be made to Dr. Simone at "Canadian Food For Children” at www.canadianfoodforchildren.net.

Visitation will be held at the Turner and Porter “Butler” Chapel on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 P.M. A funeral service is to follow at 3:00 P.M.

It’s hard to put into words the quiet beauty of Dave’s presence. He had a way of making the world feel softer—never loud, never hurried, always kind. Whether tending to his garden, enjoying a peaceful walk, or simply sharing a warm smile, he found joy in life’s simplest moments. I’ll always remember his gentle nature and the calm comfort he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

I was saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I'll miss the conversations we'd have over Christmas and Easter dinners, always interesting and thoughtful. I'm also going to miss his homegrown vegetables -- so tasty -- and his generous spirit. His flower gardens were the most beautiful on the street and he tended them with patience and love. RIP Dave.
