In Celebration of

David Brindley Peters

April 23, 1950 -  August 3, 2017

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2107 at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga surrounded by family and friends. Eldest son of the late Dennis and Frances Peters and beloved brother of Michael (Jean), Jennifer MacDonald (Scott) and Susan Meldrum (Stephen), stepfather to Ashley (Miranda) and David (Carley) Wewiora, step-grandfather to Ava, Ethan and Charlie; and beloved uncle to Kate, Ben, Alasdair, Scott, Sean, and Megan. David’s curiosity in how-things-worked fueled a life-long passion for classic car and vintage motorcycle restoration – his first project was a lovingly restored navy-blue 1949 Jaguar XK150S that is still talked about. David’s aptitude for fine detail led to a successful architectural practice. Musically inclined he was an avid guitar enthusiast an interest that he happily shared. Always good-natured with a ready laugh, he was patient, kind, trustworthy, steadfast, and likeable. He will be much missed. A special note of thanks to the caregivers at Thistlecreek Health Care Ltd. who often went beyond. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of QEW) on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 2-5pm with tributes remembering David’s life to begin at 4pm.

I'm so lucky to have had such an amazing Step-Dad and have a lifetime of sensational memories that will never be forgotten. Motorcycles, teaching me my first song on electric guitar (which is still pretty much the only song I can play) to hours of sitting beside me helping with homework and constant encouragement with all my art pieces (no matter how bad they were). Know that you will always be remembered as an amazing Dad!!

Dad…….there are no speed limits in heaven, step on that gas pedal and race that Porsche……

Love Always,
Ash

David, a wonderful step-dad to Ash & Dave, who leaves us with ever so many good memories—your music, family trips/outings, restoration of vintage motorcycles (for which each of us got involved one way or another), those sports cars -- just to name a few. Always there to help. You left us too soon Dave, but know you will always be in remembered.

I am very fortunate to be one of Mr. Peter's caregiver. I will always remember him for his contagious laugher, the wisdom, and encouragements that he imparted.
