In Celebration of

David Alfred (Kip) "Kip" Gray

March 20, 1926 -  December 14, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of David Alfred (Kip) Gray announce his sudden passing on December 14, 2020, at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.
Kip was 94. He was born March 20, 1926, in Grindstone Quebec on the Magdelan Islands to Alfred Edward Gray and Laura May Gray (nee Geddes).

Kip (or Grampy) will be sadly missed by his children Alison, Laurie, Lloyd (Kyle), David, and Grandchildren Kip (Lisa), Xavier (Anya), Bronwyn, and George. He leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren who are too young to have enjoyed the benefits of his guidance.

Kip was married for 65 years to Joan until her passing in 2013.

He attended Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Tech, graduating as an electrical engineer and then worked for Westinghouse/Siemens for 41 years. Kip was an active community member as a scout leader in his younger days and also as a Member of the Mississauga Rotary club later in life. He supported many charities.

Kip left an indelible stamp on everyone he met and will be missed by all.

A private ceremony was held on December 16, 2020, at the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel. The family hopes a memorial service can be held later in 2021 where Kip’s life can be celebrated by the many who knew and loved him.

Allison, Laurie, David and Lloyd : We were so shocked to hear of your Dad's sudden passing. Kip was such a wonderful man, always interested in everyone around him. It was truly an honour to have known him. May he rest in peace.

A true gentleman, with a wonderful outlook on life - we have been blessed to know and love him for the past 44 years. My dad before that , who taught Kip, Bob and Lu at Grind stone in the late 1930's. Our condolences to all his family.
