In Celebration of

David Alexander

October 31, 1925 -  April 13, 2018

David Alexander went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 13, 2018, in his 93rd year. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Marion; cherished father to his daughters Donna (Richard) and Sandra (Basil) and devoted and adored Poppa to his grandchildren Laura (Mike), Rebecca, and Wesley and new great grandson Aaron. A service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 2 p.m., at Dovercourt Baptist Church (Bloor and Dufferin). David was a long time member and faithful servant at Dovercourt and within the extended Christian community. He was involved in the establishment and management of seniors' housing and care in the greater Toronto area providing leadership as founding Board member of New Horizons Tower and Fellowship Towers, and founding President and Chairman of the Board of Christie Gardens. As a family we lovingly remember our generous, humorous, musical, articulate, integral, loving and wise Husband, Father, and Poppa. He loved God. He loved us. His unconditional love helps us clearly understand the depth of our Heavenly Father’s love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dovercourt Baptist Church, Memorial Fund or Camp Widjiitiwin c/o Muskoka Bible Foundation. For those who wish, online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca.

Mr. Alexander was a wonderful neighbour and good friend to my parents. He gave the Toast to the Bride at my wedding. He was warm, kind, gentle, and a man of integrity. He was highly respected in the community and he will be missed. So sorry for your loss, Mrs. Alexander, Donna and Sandra.

Dave and Marion have been such an example of consistent Christian living over the decades. Our fond memories of Dave will linger on. Now present with his Lord, it is the sweetest passage in a life well lived. Our prayers for the family, knowing that our God will comfort and sustain.

It was nice to meet David while out walking. He always had a little quip about 'looking' for Woodway Trail.
He will be missed.
