In Celebration of

Dave Hayden

February 27, 1955 -  October 14, 2022

Dave was many things to many people.
He was the adored husband of Marilyn, and the loving and supportive father of Chris (Mark), Carrie (Erik) and Matthew. He was a wonderful big brother to Jim (Glenna), Judy, Danny (Lori) and Steve (Natalie). He was also a brother-in-law, an uncle to many nieces and nephews, a dog grandfather and a friend to many.
He was a very special man. He was a teacher, mentor, father figure, photographer, birder, cyclist, hiker, grill master, bourbon enthusiast, craft beer lover, road tripper, world traveller, Tragically Hip fan, author, IT guy, tomato cultivator, artisan bread baker, foodie and a generous
host.
He was kind, caring and gentle. He was humourous, talented, vibrant, awesome, amazing and cool. He was resilient, tenacious and fought to the end. He was an inspiration and one of a kind.
He is gone too soon, but loved forever.

A special time to remember Dave will be held at Turner and Porter, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga on Saturday, November the 12th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Memories will be shared at 2:30. Please feel free to dress casually, as he would have preferred.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Pancreatic Cancer Canada, the Trillium Health Network or the Bruce Trail Conservancy.

Dave was the first person to greet me at Thornwood school when I returned to teaching. It was the beginning of so many great times as he and Marilyn and I taught as a team for a while. Our friendship extended beyond school to include my whole family. Tom and I with Meghan, Dan and families all send heartfelt condolences to Marilyn and all the family. ♥️💐
