In Celebration of

Daniel Nancoo

November 2, 1961 -  March 23, 2018

At the age of 56, Daniel Nancoo passed into eternity on March 23, 2018. Daniel was a wonderful husband to Tammy, a loving Dad to Nic, doting father in law to Karly and the proudest grandpapa to his precious Saretta. He was a son to Janet and Horace, brother to Ian,Marita and Ferdie, son in law to "Moms Megan" , brother in law, nephew, cousin and a loyal friend to many.
Daniel was a passionate follower of Jesus Christ. He never wavered in his confidence in Jesus' love for him, even when his cancer was aggressive and uncontrollable. He said, "I would have liked to live in this body a good few years yet but I am in the Lord's hands." He passed from this world to the next with a peace that passes understanding.
Daniel was born and raised in Trinidad. Given a trumpet by his Uncle Ivan at the age of 12, Daniel discovered a passion and a gift for music that he would follow his entire life. As a member of several Soca bands, Dan toured England, Columbia, United States and Canada.
It was Canada and one particular red head that would capture his heart and he became a man who loved winter and a citizen of his new home country. Dan continued to play with several bands in Canada and even more in the music ministry at Trinity Streetsville. With his keen ear and gift for improvisation, Dan was often invited to play with other musicians when he and Tammy traveled.
Dan and Tammy built a wonderful life and a business together producing dance costumes for dance schools across Canada. With that, came another family...the Jazzamatazz family, who will miss Daniel dearly.
Daniel was a wise, gentle, soft spoken, loving man who will be greatly missed by friends, family, church family and work family.
Friends are invited to call at Turner & Porter "Neweduk" Chapel , 1981 Dundas St. W ( east of Erin Mills Pkwy) in Mississauga on Friday, March 30th from 6-9 pm.
We also invite you to join us for a Service of Celebration of Life and Faith on Saturday, March 31st at Trinity Church Streetsville, located at 69 Queen Street S at 2:30 pm with reception to follow.
As a family, we are so incredibly grateful for the work of Ian Anderson House and the grace offered us as Daniel's time grew near. We would humbly ask friends to consider donations to IAH in lieu of flowers.

Each time we embrace a memory, we meet again with those we love for the heart never forgets.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-22

We only knew Daniel a short time through our church, but he was a dear friend and a beloved member of our small group. Winnie and I always enjoyed his quiet, gentle way of sharing his love for his Saviour during our times together.
Our loss is Heavens gain.
