Constance Joyce Rose Zaharchuk

May 12, 1942 - October 18, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Constance Joyce Rose Zaharchuk (nee Kostiuk), in her 82nd year at Sunnybrook on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Beloved wife of Ted for 58 years. Adored mother to Michelle (Ted Alexopoulos) and Kimberley (Derek Cation). Devoted grandmother to George, Michael, Annie and Sarah.

She will be deeply missed by her family and remembered for her compassion and generosity.

May her memory be eternal.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11: 30 a.m. Private family interment to follow.

Connie took such great care of us cousins when we were kids. And was so generous with her time...and her things. She shared the gifts of music with me through her old, and great, record collection. My older brother Eddie and I were altar boys at her wedding to big Ted and her home was always open and welcoming to us. She was gracious in extending that love and hospitality to Wendy and we both love her very much. This is one very cool Lady.

Always loved seeing Connie and Ted at Michelle and Ted’s house. Such a lovely lady- so generous and kind to her family, and we always will remember her smile and sparkle. May her memory be eternal. Grateful that God has given Ted the wonderful family he has and that they will give him strength to endure .
