In Celebration of

Christie Agnes MacLeod

June 6, 1926 -  January 14, 2021

Everything feels different now. Agnes, the anchor of the MacLeod family, died on Thursday, January 14th, 2021. Having finished her mid-day rosary at home with family, Agnes joined her husband Sam and eldest son Sam in God’s glory. Agnes is mourned by children Joseph, John, Theresa, Mary (Robert), James, Wayne (Sandra), Marlene, and their extended families including cherished grandchildren Heather, Donald, Connor, Samantha, and Lisa.
Born in Cape Breton as Christie Agnes Gillis, she is mourned by her sister, Jessie MacDonald, and family. Agnes spent over 50 years in Montreal before residing in Mississauga. A vibrant member of St Joseph’s Parish, a small prayer service was held on January 16th. A full funeral Mass will be held at a later, safer date.
Many thanks to the LHIN personal support workers that helped Agnes get ready for each day over the last 12 months and Care Partners nurses for their great support.

To all my cousins. I only met Agnes a half dozen times or so but she was always kind and loving to our Cape Breton clan. Deepest sympathy from Freddie in Australia and myself. I know she will live on in spirit with you all. May God grant you peace and understanding in this difficult time. Allen
