October 30, 1936 - May 28, 2017

Peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Camilla Care Community, Mississauga at the age of 80. Beloved husband for fifty years to Inger. Chapalendu will be missed by his sons Erik (Nadine) and Mark (Lisa); grandchildren Liam, Ethan, Gavin and Ryan. Visitation to be held at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium (737 Dundas St. E., Mississauga) Friday from 5-8 p.m. A Service will be held in the Magnolia Room at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 4 p.m. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Parkinson Canada.

My Dad was a great man. He was my hero. He was a role model and was an awesome person to be around. He always worked hard and was a rock for our family. My Dad passed away last night as my brother and I held his hands. Even though he has been sick for a long while with Dementia and Parkinson’s, there is not a second that goes by without me missing him. I am comforted knowing that my Dad lived a great life! I love you Dad and thanks.

I am so glad I got to know Chapel. I so much enjoyed his sense of humour. He had such a warm
and open way. Obviously a man of great intellect and strong opinions but tolerant and open
minded.
I have these last years seen such devotion from Inger, Erik and Mark so I can only conclude
he must have been a wonderful husband and father.
This world could sure use more men like Chapel.
