In Celebration of

Caroline "Carrie" Harvey

March 22, 1931 -  April 3, 2021

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021, at Kensington Gardens at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late John (Jack) William Harvey. Cherished mother of John Nicholas Harvey, adored grandmother of Liam Andrew and Alexis Caroline. Dear aunt to Sherry Harvey and daughter Megan. She is survived by brother George Mullett & wife Barbara as well as nieces and nephews across the Maritimes and Ontario.

After a turbulent and challenging marriage, she was able to find peace, healing and spiritual growth back where she always found solace … at her church. Family and friends will always remember Caroline’s (Carrie’s) warm and jovial disposition. Her character of kindness and her accepting nature ensured she was rewarded with many esteemed friends.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Kensington Gardens LTC. Nora’s team on 3 East of the south building provided her much support and comfort during the last chapters of her battle with Parkinson’s disease. Please consider making a donation to Parkinson's Canada (https://www.parkinson.ca/). A special thank you to all who have sent condolences.

Due to public health safety concerns, a private family service will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. The service will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend in person, for those who wish to view the service please copy and paste the link into your web browser. https://youtu.be/ZN3HStAIxEU

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Caroline to Parkinson's Canada.

I have known Caroline for several years. She always sat in the same spot at church, right behind our family. We chatted for several years, every Sunday. We bonded over our shared love of Atlantic Canada and she was always very interested in the comings and goings of our children. I had the pleasure of driving Caroline to church for a few years where we would laugh in the car - her eyes always sparkled and her smile was contagious! She especially loved when I picked her up in the MINI Cooper - she said it made her look 'cool'! I will always remember her mischievous spirit and her sunny disposition.

So sorry for your loss John. My memories of aunt Carrie were mostly of her incredible sense of humour. I think this is a universal Mullett trait, but she brought it to a whole new level. Her keen sense of humour no doubt had a role in her living to 90. Somewhat of an inappropriate memory, but dad would always tell us when he was little and needed to go outside to use the outhouse “I’m pooping, I’m pooping! I want Carrie!” We exchanged cards every Christmas and it’ll be sad this year when there is yet another family member that I have to cross off my list. I hope you find comfort is knowing she was well-loved, even by those of us who saw her so infrequently but still knew how amazing she was. Take care!
