In Celebration of

Carole Anne Isnor

October 12, 1939 -  March 21, 2025

It is with profound heartache that we announce the passing of Carole Anne Isnor (nee Michaud) on Friday, March 21st, 2025, in her 85th year of life. Daughter and son-in-law were faithfully by her side and were blessed to hold onto her hands as her last breaths were taken. They are so thankful that her 3 month entanglement with colon cancer, and the other complications that arose, are now over.

Carole was the adoring wife of late Larry (Harold) Isnor; beloved daughter of both late Gordon & Margaret Michaud; loving sister to Linda Saville, Betty Michaud and the late Janet McCartan; cherished mother of Laura Isnor and son-in-law, Brian Huber; proud grandmother of Bailey and Brianne Isnor-Huber; Aunt to many nieces and nephews; & friend to many at both the Cawthra Park Seniors Centre and the Clarkson Community centre, as well as to her kind neighbours.

Carole was a strong, independent and private individual who loved to keep busy everyday of the week by engaging in bridge, snooker, 10 pin bowling, lawn bowling, roller skating, walking on her treadmill, and aqua-fit …just to name a few. She loved being by the water, especially in boats and cruise ships. She caught the travel bug early in her life and included her daughter (and family) on those worldly travel adventures where many fond memories were created.

A small private funeral will be held for her immediate family only, as per her wishes. However, family and friends are invited to share their memories, thoughts, and messages on the Turner & Porter Funeral memorial site as a way to celebrate Carole Anne’s life. Your words will offer comfort and allow family to cherish the lasting impact she had on so many.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the hospice, Ian Anderson House, where Carole was lovingly looked after in her last days.

Carole Anne’s passing leaves a gap in our lives, but her memory, though quietly held, will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

I have known Carole about 40 years now. I was her hairdresser, we developed a relationship like family. We would talk about everything most of all when she comes back from her vacations. I was waiting to hear of all the places she visited with her daughter and her family. She was very proud of her grandchildren and their achievements. She was always happy to let me know how they were doing. Carol will be greatly missed she was a kind and wonderful person. May her soul rest in peace. God Bless.

I adored Carole - every time she came down to pool I would yell “HI CAROLE!” from across the pool hall lol - it was my mission to make her giggle - we had some rather deep chats over the years - I appreciated her support and friendship - I think I only won one rack out of the many many many times we played each other - until we play again my friend 💜

My deepest sympathies to Carole's entire family and close friends. It was fun to be around Carole at the bridge table. Carole was a very good player and was always kind to others who were slow to play or declining thought process. I loved to listen to Carole's billiard prowess and travels to play in tournaments. I will remember her fondly...rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to the whole family. We will dearly miss Carole and all the memories that we had shared while being in a team playing pool and even won a Vegas trip and competition. And she showed us a true example of an amazing woman, mother and a friend. We love her and although she can't hear us now but we would like to thank her for the friendship and love that she imparted to the both of us.

My deepest condolences to Laura and all of Carole’s family. I was deeply saddened to hear of Carole’s passing. Carole truly lived life to the fullest. So many fond memories; she was up for all kinds of fun and activities. From bicycle riding through the neighbourhood to participating in the Senior games in Oshawa, her adventurous spirit took us from Ontario day trips to Alaska and China. There were many smiles and laughs with Carole along the way. Carole was a good friend who shared her caring heart, energy for life and her amazing carrot cake, including her mom’s recipe. I will always remember her fondly and cherish the many moments we spent together. Keeping Carole and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
