In Celebration of

Bridget Phillips (nee Walsh)

March 3, 1931 -  December 11, 2017

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the age of 86. Bridget will be returning to the arms of her husband and best friend, Ken, who predeceased her by 20 years and who was greatly missed by her. We know that she will now be reunited with her sisters and brother (Monica, Bernadine, and Myles) who will be waiting to enfold her in their arms. Bridget was a loving mother to Michael (Julie), Jodi (Ray), and Kim (John) and she was a proud grandmother to Stephanie, Samantha, James, Jenny, Caitlin, Alanna, William and David. Bridget was the most loving, caring, vivacious, and elegant woman you'd care to know. Her smile lit up the room and she immediately put others at ease when meeting them for the first time. She will be sadly missed by family and her many friends and acquaintances. Friends may call at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) Etobicoke on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at PeopleCare Hilltop Manor in Cambridge who helped her feel safe and cared for during her struggle with Alzheimer's. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in Bridget's name would be appreciated.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. She was a shining star...in her leather pants and the twinkle in her eye.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. However, these words do and do not fit. In many ways we lost Bridget four years ago and you have been faithful caregivers for her. I have so many good memories of the over forty years that I knew her and something fine has left this world. I pray that you will feel peace and comfort.

Fond memories of gold anklets, trending fashion and a laugh that was contagious will forever be remembered. Blessings in love and light as you are reunited with your loved ones and the "Grey Cup Gang".
