In Celebration of

Bradley “Brad” Hummel

December 25, 1954 -  November 18, 2024

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we regretfully announce the passing of Bradley “Brad” Hummel. He was taken away too soon on Nov 18th, 2024 at the age of 69.

Brad was a natural-born leader, role model, and patriarch of our family. He was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, neighbor, and all the above. He was selfless and always made sure everyone was cared for. Brad left a smile on everyone’s face and left an everlasting impact on anyone he was around.

He made many memories with us doing what he loved, whether it be fishing, playing hockey, being in nature, going on walks with his loved ones, or his iconic road trips to Niagara Falls and Collingwood. Brad was outgoing and made friends wherever he went - be it a long-time friend or someone in line at the supermarket. Brad would strike up a conversation with everyone and always created warm connections out of the blue. Effortlessly cool, and a lover of all genres of music, “The Brad Effect” will truly be missed.

He was predeceased by his father, Patrick Hummel, and mother, Isabelle Hummel. He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Zen Hummel, his sister Cynthia ”Cindy” Simpson (Ralph), his daughter Darlene Mercuri (Stefano), his son Matthew Hummel (Marlaina), and youngest son Christopher Hummel (Claire). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Hailey, Kiana, Everleigh, and Isabelle. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

We are deeply grateful for the wonderful care Brad received at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.

Family and friends may attend Brad’s memorial on Sunday, November 24th 2024, 2:00pm - 6:00pm at Turner & Porter Funeral Home (2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON L5B 1M8).

Family and friends may join us for a celebratory pre-birthday mass on Sunday, December 22nd 2024, at 12:30pm at St Peter & Paul Parish (4070 Central Pkwy E, Mississauga, ON L4Z 1T6).

In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make a donation to a charity of your choice.

My sincere and deepest condolences to you and your family. Brad represented friendship, unselfishness, passion, comradery, care for others etc. I had the opportunity to meet and speak with him on many occasions and I truly felt the pride he had in who he was, in his family, and in his grandchildren and all that surrounded him and in those he loved. I am grateful for having met him and saddened that such a beautiful soul is gone.

May his beautiful spirit live on in our memories and may you find the strength and resiliency to continue to enjoy life in his name.

Peace be with you.

My deepest condolences to the entire Hummel Family. Brad was such an amazing human being. In the short time that I knew him I could see that he was the most gentle, kind and loving person who would do anything for anyone. I could see he was an amazing Husband, Father and Grandfather. His family is a reflection of the kind of man he was. His loss will truly be felt. May his Soul be at rest and at peace.
Sincerely
Mary Tidona
