In Celebration of
Beverley Lambie
October 14, 1938 -
August 29, 2025
Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Beverley Lambie, who died peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, in Burlington, Ontario, at the age of 86. Beverley was an adored mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to the family, but also, a wonderful friend to many. Throughout her life, she was known for her delightful smile, kindness, warmth, infectious enthusiasm and positive spirit.
Beverley was the beloved wife of Kerry, who predeceased her in 2018, for 58 years. Cherished mother of Tobin (Anne) and Laurie (John Pierre Taraso). Treasured grandmother of Meghan, Iain, Scott, Courtney (Benoit), Dylan, Ashley, Heather and Laura. She also was the great grandmother of Samuel and Everly.
Beverley was born in Schumacher (Timmins), Ontario, and would later become a teacher. She met her husband Kerry while teaching in Kirkland Lake, in Northeastern Ontario.
Kerry’s successful newspaper career started in the community and included several other stops. Beverley would give up teaching to support Kerry’s journey and a family would come with the births of Tobin and Laurie.
No matter the community, Beverley’s cheerful and loving personality would always shine brightly. She enjoyed engaging with people and had the gift of gab. She loved talking on the phone with friends and those calls could reach three-hours in length. Chats with Beverley routinely raised spirits and her homes were always welcoming.
She also gave back to her community through donations or assisting efforts such as the Caring and Sharing initiative in Mississauga, Ontario. Beverley cherished and found joy in family gatherings as they provided so many memories and lots of laughter. Her devotion to family also found Beverly offering support at sporting events, dance recitals and music concerts.
For herself, Beverley enjoyed watching figure skating, golf and hockey, in particular, Sidney Crosby, who she often referred to as “My Sid.” Another passion included attending the theatre, especially musicals, something she was excited to share with family members.
Beverley was a tireless and enthusiastic shopper who often outlasted her grandchildren, despite them being much younger. And when she shopped with her daughter, plenty of laughs often occurred after actions such as loading the wrong vehicle. Being with Beverley brought so much enjoyment to family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Wednesday, September 3 at 2 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m.
