In Celebration of

Betty M. Horton

March 12, 1931 -  August 11, 2016

.Courageously and peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Elizabeth Maude Horton (nee Brown), daughter of Frank and Mary, leaves behind her beloved husband, partner and best friend of sixty two years, Harry; her deeply adored sons (her eternal boys), John (Lydia), Brian, David (Kathy), Michael (Ann) and Stephen; her nine loving grandchildren; Sarah (Brady), Matthew (Sandra), Emily, Jennifer, Thomas, William, Liam, Mackenzie and Andrew; and her sweet great-grandson, Marcus. Predeceased by her brothers Frank and John. She will be missed by her sisters Rosemary and Gloria. Betty’s tremendous and well deserved reputation in real estate for her high ethical standards, holistic commitment and client loyalty made her the finest real estate agent in the west end of Toronto for over thirty years. It is said that much can be gleaned of a person when he/she faces death. Betty (our Mum) remained gentle, sweet, feisty, determined, exacting and matriarchal until 11:00 p.m., August 11, 2016. Her five sons want to acknowledge their Mum’s unconditional love, fierce loyalty, total devotion and absolute commitment for each of them throughout life. Mum, we will all love you forever. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory’s Church, 122 Rathburn Rd., Etobicoke, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. On-line condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca
