Basil (Bill) Tzaferis

September 18, 1950 -  March 23, 2023

Bill passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born on September 18th, 1950, in Elefsina, Greece. He was the older brother to Klearhos and Stelios and loving son of Odysseas and Evangelia.

Bill was married to Mary, his best friend for almost 47 years. Bill was most proud of his twin sons Marcus and Alex. Bill loved his sons, his daughter in law Cordelia, and his three little grandchildren, Oscar, Theo and Nico.

At the age of 18, Bill came to Canada, on his own, to attend University. He graduated from Ryerson University as a Civil Engineer. He went on to hold positions such as fire protection engineer and risk management consultant. Bill was a successful entrepreneur and a great motivator of those around him.

Bill played professional soccer in Athens and Toronto. He loved playing soccer, tennis, and golf and was an avid runner.

Bill enjoyed travelling, a good glass of wine, great food and the company of his close friends and family.

Bill was loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital or Sick kids.
