December 20, 1937 - November 1, 2021

Passed away peacefully, Monday, November 1, 2021 at Woods Park Care Centre in Barrie at the age of 83. Cherished wife of Colin. Adored mother of Colleen (Anthony) Maida, Gayla (John) Leach and Paul MacNeil. Much loved Nana of Adam and Shanel Maida, Quentin and Alannah Leach, John (Gemma) and Jessica MacNeil. Great Nana to Megan, Sophia, Amelia and Madison.

Private funeral service to be held at Turner & Porter “Butler” Chapel (4933 Dundas Street West) Etobicoke. If desired, donations in Barbara’s memory can be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice.

I always admired her talent, creativity and passion for sewing and knitting.
Her love for her family was limitless.
I’m sure she will always be watching over them.

So many of my childhood memories are tied into spending time at Aunt Barb’s and Uncle Colin’s house and cottage with Gayla, Colleen and Paul. Your mom was always so warm and gracious and her laughter was infectious. My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you! Mom was there to welcome her home. Heaven will never be the same! 😉😘
