In Celebration of

Barbara Larner

April 28, 1955 -  May 16, 2018

With broken hearts we are sad to announce the death of Barbara Mary Larner (nee Cachia), on Wednesday May 16, 2018, at the Credit Valley Hospital. Barbara was married to Tony Larner in September 1975, not only was he the love of her life, but he was her best friend. Barbara was honoured to be the loving mother to Jamie (Li-Ming) and Jennifer Patterson (Mark). She was the proud grandmother of Audrey Larner. She was the daughter of Mary and the late John Cachia and adored by her siblings John (Sharon), Rosemary (Robert), Maureen (Dennis), Carolyn and Kevin and sister-in-law to Erika, Moira (Brad) and Steven Larner. Loving daughter-in-law of Gordon and Luciana Larner. She was loved by her many nieces and nephews. Barbara had a great passion for travel and visited many wonderful destinations. She was devoted to her family and their needs always came first. Cancer may have been a challenge for Barbara but she had the most positive spirit and fought this battle with grace and dignity. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Merciful Redeemer, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd., on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10 am. Interment Streetsville Cemetery. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
