Barbara D’Amico (nee Bartolini) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday February 16th, 2025, following a long, hard-fought battle with cancer and health complications.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert, and her children David (Vanessa) and Stephanie (Marc). She was a devoted and much loved Nonna to Alec, Gabby, Lia and Felix and a cherished sister to Sandra (Mike, deceased), Debra (Gerry) and Bill (deceased). She leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Barbara’s kind, thoughtful, fun-loving soul will be missed immensely.

After graduating from the University of Toronto, Barbara met and married Robert. Together they built both a business and a dedicated group of friends and family. She balanced work and motherhood throughout her life and eventually achieved her crowning glory - becoming a Nonna.

Barbara bravely faced the challenges of her life, maintaining a positive outlook and appreciating every day she had. She was always there for friends and family welcoming them with a ready smile and listening with keen interest to their life stories.

Barbara was known to enjoy a good joke, crosswords, music and retail therapy. She was a proud Canadian Italian and continued the traditions of valuing family, friends and Sunday gatherings.

If you see a bird or a butterfly it just might be her letting us know she’ll be with us, always.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St W. on Sunday, March 2nd, at 11 am with Visitation beginning at 10am and reception following with light refreshments.
