In Celebration of

Baldassare (Bob) Rabbito

January 1, 1946 -  October 30, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Baldassare (Bob) Rabbito on October 30, 2024, at his vacation home in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 78. Bob was born on January 1, 1946, to the late Giovanni and Francesa Rabbito (nee Gandolfo) in his cherished hometown of Salemi, Sicily. In 1958, he immigrated with his family to Toronto, Ontario where he eventually met and married his beloved wife Erlinda (Linda) (nee Alcantara).

Bob was a devoted father to Francine Buchanan (Jared) and Melissa Lujan (Michael), and always a doting grandfather to Cristiano, Miguel, and Maribel. He is predeceased by his brother Leonardo (Patricia) and grandson Sebastian Buchanan. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Vito (Amalia) and his close extended family.

A long-time Mississauga businessman, Bob's unwavering passion has been dedicated to serving his loyal customers as the proud owner of Trutone Electronics over the past 40 years. Bob will be lovingly remembered by numerous friends, family, colleagues, and customers. His kind nature, impeccable character, and integrity have left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

In remembrance of Bob, donations are welcome to the SickKids Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or The Darling Home for Kids, all charities that were close to his heart.

I am saddened by Bob's sudden passing away and to think that only Linda was with him at their vacation house in Las Vegas. And as a person of faith, I believe that Bob is now in a better place where there is peace among God's saints. Bob was a man of integrity and may his legacy be continued among his family, friends, customers and all those whose lives were touched by Bob's kindness and goodness. Rest in peace, Bob. My prayers, sympathies and love to Linda and the family.

I’m so saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. My sincerest condolences go out to Linda, the girls and his family and friends.
Bob was. A kind and gentle soul and I had the good fortune and privilege to work for him at Toronto Home Video and later at Trutone Electronics.
He was always very kind to me and I will be forever grateful.
He will certainly be missed.
Rest in Peace , Bob
