Aušra, as she liked to be called, always welcomed one in her home. She was a wise woman who was interested in youth and their pursuits. Aušra was talkative, kind, and reassuring. She actively loved her daughters, nieces, and entire family. My heart goes out to her entire family. Gilia užuojauta. xo

Maria Nestico ' (Colleague and close Friend)

Entered January 14, 2017 from Italy

I met my Mary when I was only 23 years old and was hired to take over her class when she had an accident at school. I had to have my first parent teacher interviews and due to Mary's intuitive and sensitive nature, took it upon herself to come to school, sat beside me in a wheel chair with her leg in a cast and support, substain, encourage and give me pointers on how to deal with certain situations. Her sense of duty, wisdom, strong character blended with a big heart and overwhelming willingness to give share to all found a place in my life ...as a colleague, friend, mentor and surrogate mother. At times she used to end off with line...That's the life. That's the story. What a life she had and how many stories she's left for me to share...
