Aurora Nickoloff

August 14, 1939 -  December 6, 2022

Loving wife of the late Nick Nickoloff, born August 14th, 1939 died December 6th, 2022 peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at her Etobicoke residence. Born in the Philippines to Petra Dolores and Vicente Costes, she graduated university with a degree in biochemistry and accepted an internship in Colorado and Texas before returning to work at a teaching college in Baguio City. She applied to Canada for citizenship in 1972 and
sponsored her two brothers to join her. She worked and retired at Queensway General Hospital before devoting her life to her garden, jewelry and wide collection of dolls and trinkets. She is the middle sister to Purita (Teofilo) Sampaga RIP, Donato Costes the 2nd (Amelia) RIP, Victorio Costes (Miguelita) and Ester (Tony) Lomboy. She was best friends with her beloved sister in law to Miguelita Hufana Costes, aunt to Rodolfo, Imelda, Angelo, Cecilia and Teofilo Jr. Sampaga, Donato Costes the 3rd, Oliver Costes (Teresa), Michelle Forbes, Bernadette Somerville (Simon), Teresa and AnaMaria Lomboy. She was the greatest aunt to many nieces and nephews: Mia, Olivia, Emma, Dillon, Chloe, Audrey, DJ, Isabella and Sophie. She is also greatly missed by her stepdaughter Angie (John) Creighton and stepson Larry Nickoloff, her step grandchildren David (Marisa), Debbie (Tyler), Janice (Mike), Doug and their children Ben, Oliver, Ramona, Lily, Maggie and Lucy. She is in a pain free place, smiling down on all who loved her back, no longer limited by her fragile body. She is reunited in spirit with Nick, the love of her life, and her legacy of kindness will be remembered by friends and families who shared her love, home and kitchen, especially Kris her Angel, and adopted many children into her heart with gifts and chocolate. She had very kind words about the healthcare professionals and first responders who attended her during her last days. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke, (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) from 4-8pm on Wednesday December 13, 2022.
