It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aquila De Souza, who peacefully departed this world on January 4, 2025, in Canada at the age of 87.

She was the wife of the late Cyril De Souza and mother to Ashley, Greta, Melville; Jacqueline. She was the mother-in-law to Anira (Angela), Mario; Mary and grandmother to Alaryn, Amerie, Adric, Stacey, Lizmarie, Dervla, Conor and Carina.

Born in the serene village of Paara, Goa, India, she was a remarkable soul whose life was defined by love, kindness, and resilience. Her journey from her beloved Goa to Tanzania and later Canada was marked by the strength of her character and an enduring spirit that touched everyone she met.

She was cherished by her family and friends for her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith. She will be remembered for her warmth, her radiant smile, and the way she always made others feel loved and valued.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and grace that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
