<div itemprop="description">Passed away peacefully, at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the age of 96. Cherished husband of Maria Antonia (nee Verducci) for over 66 years. Beloved father of Lorenzo (Maria), Adelina Portaro (Marco), Louisa Di Fonzo-Mykietiak (Danny), and Mario. Much loved Nonno of Anthony, Melissa, Ernesto, Antonio, Gino, Maria, Rocco, Tony and Marcello. Bisnonno of Vanessa, Adamo, Nicholas, Sabrina, Lucas and Matthew. Dearly beloved brother of the late Maria Di Fonzo and Vittoria Nardelli. Sadly missed by all the nieces and nephews. Antonio had a deep love for gardening and food, taking great care in creating homemade preserves, cured meats and wine. Antonio's other hobbies included playing Briscola and Tre Sette and playing music. He will be fondly remembered as a trumpeter in the San Pietro Infine band, back home in Caserta, Italy. Antonio will be sadly missed by his extended family, friends and neighbours both in Canada and Italy.</div>
