In Celebration of

Anthony C. "Tony" Mellalieu

January 11, 1947 -  July 26, 2017

January 11, 1947 – July 26, 2017
After a long and courageous fight with cancer, Tony passed peacefully at Ian Anderson House in Oakville, at the age of 70. Beloved partner of Gwen McKay, loving father to Mark (Brenda), grandfather to Miles and the only son of the late Gordon and Christine. He was born in Folkstone, England and raised in Chester eventually becoming a mechanic. Tony moved to Toronto in his twenties and worked as an Air Canada aircraft mechanic for 30 years. Tony loved to travel around England seeing family and vacationing in the hot spots with Gwen. He loved socializing at the pub, cottaging on Christian Island, and spending time with his friends and family. Many thanks to the Princess Margaret Hospital for giving Tony 18 extra years, and thanks to the Heart House and Ian Anderson House for their support. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of QEW) on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. A Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ian Anderson House and Heart House Hospice. Online condolences can be made through www.turnerporter.ca
