In Celebration of

Ann Battcock

January 26, 1933 -  July 18, 2021

With deep sadness in our hearts and after a long and wonderful life Ann passed away peacefully at Georgetown Hospital at age 88.

Beloved wife of the late Jerome Battcock will be lovingly remembered by her 5 children Elizabeth, Judy, Nancy (Peter), Margaret (Andrew) and Jerry. Her Grandchildren Devon(Jeffrey), Michelle(Mike), Darren(Samantha), Catherine-Ann, James and Christopher(Kelsey). Her Great Grandchildren Lochlan, Makhi, Reyd and Spencer. Her sister Margaret(Lenard-deceased), nephew Len(Irene & Family) the Battcock Family and the Strachan Family. (Brother Joe and wife Rosalee, in heaven together)

During Anns life she worked for Falconbridge Nickel Mines as a Salary Administrator and continued on to work for Canada Post as a Postal Officer where she was loved and admired by so many cherished and life long friends.

Ann LOVED to knit and crochet, she loved her trips to Newfoundland, Florida and Wasaga Beach and her fondness of playing Bingo. Ann loved her family and friends unconditionally and never forgot to send out Birthday cards or just a note to say Hello. If you ever wanted to know about our family history she was our "Go To" person until suffering a stroke and her battle with dementia that robbed her of this special gift.

God saw her pain, wrapped his warm and gentle arms around her, and finally set her free!

Due to Covid restrictions a Private Invitation, only Celebration of her life will be held at Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel at 1981 Dundas St. West, Mississauga on July 31, 2021 commencing at 11:00 am. Burial of her ashes, next to Buddy, will follow at Assumption Cemetery 6933 Tomken Rd., Mississauga. (Visitation 10:00 - 11:00) . Our service celebrating Ann's life will also be recorded by Turner & Porter for those who are not attending. Please email margaretwilkinson342@yahoo.ca for the link.

My deepest condolences to the family. I didn’t know you that long, but what I did know was that you were a very kind and giving person. I will always remember the nice moments we (Devon, Judy and I) spent with you when we visited this past year.
Rest well Ann…Sending out much love and support to the family at this difficult time.

Grandmama,
Saying good-bye to you is one of the hardest things I've had to do, but luckily your love was so strong I can still feel it with me. I'm so grateful you were such a big part of my life and taught me to be the woman I am today. I will always look up to you for showing me how to be proud of myself and always strive for greatness, while being compassionate and caring towards others. I love you forever, until we meet again. RIP ❤️

A poem for Mom......
Gods Garden
God looked around his garden
and he found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest.
Gods garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace Be Thine"
It broke our hearts to loose you
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Love you Mom. ALWAYS IN MY HEART ❤ Rest in Peace
