Anita Mae Kelly

May 7, 1942 -  October 25, 2016

Peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Trillium Health Centre- Mississauga, in her 75th year. Devoted wife of Irwin for 51 years. Cherished mother of Brenda Mennie (Jamie), Cheryl Townsend, and Pamela Thomas (Dave). Adored Grandma of Kyle, Robin and Zara. Dear sister of Bob (Cathy). Anita will be dearly missed by her extended family, friends and colleagues from both the Etobicoke and Peel School Boards where she spent her career as a primary teacher. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy) on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Erindale United Church, 1444 Dundas Cres., Mississauga on Saturday October 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. If desired, remembrances may be made to Sleeping Children Around the World.

Anita was a wonderful, kind woman. She was always cheerful and positive, despite her health difficulties in the past few years. When we first joined Erindale United church she was very active in the Sunday School, and I remember her leading the children with singing and her enthusiastic attitude.

Garry and I send our sincere sympathy to Irwin, and all the family. Anita's sunny smile is going to be missed so much around Erindale United, and all the places that she was a special part of.

Anita was a beautiful woman inside and out. She will always be in my heart and I will treasure the many years of memories our families have created together. We have been blessed to have her in our lives.
