“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” — Saint Augustine
Andrzej was the kind of man you never forget, the kind who left a mark on every heart he touched. Charismatic, funny, and full of life, he had a way of turning even the simplest moments into something special. There was a spark in him, that rare mix of warmth, humor, and curiosity that drew people in naturally. Friends seemed to appear everywhere he went, not because he tried to impress anyone, but because he was genuinely kind, genuinely interested, and completely himself.
Technology and computers fascinated him. He was always curious, always tinkering, and eager to learn something new. If something broke, he was the one to call, figure out a way to fix it and if something puzzled him, he would find a way to understand it. That curiosity wasn’t limited to gadgets, it was his approach to life itself. He wanted to explore, to learn and to grow. He did it all with that trademark grin and a sense of humor that could lift any mood.
A brilliant and inquisitive mind defined him. History and geography captivated him, and he delighted in learning about the world, its stories, its people, and its hidden corners. Dates, places, and events were more than facts to him, they were pieces of a larger story he loved to share. Teaching came naturally, not as a duty, but as a reflection of who he was. With patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to make learning exciting, he inspired everyone around him. Whether discussing a historical event, a map, or the latest soccer “aka football” match, you could see the spark in his eyes. Soccer (football), in particular, was a true passion, he loved the energy, teamwork, and spirit of the game, and could talk about it endlessly with anyone who shared his enthusiasm.
He also cherished life’s simple pleasures: good food, new experiences, and travel adventures that fed his curiosity and joy. Exploring new places and flavors brought him happiness, but sharing those moments with family brought him even more joy. Whether over a family dinner, a weekend trip, or just a coffee and conversation, he found happiness in togetherness. His laughter could fill a room, his presence made everything feel lighter, and his love made everyone feel safe and seen.
Above all, his heart belonged to his family. We were his pride, his purpose, and his constant source of joy. He showed up not just for the big moments, but for the quiet, everyday ones that mattered most. His love was steady, unconditional, and enduring. Though he is no longer with us in the way we wish he could be, his spirit remains close. It lives in our laughter, our stories, and the values he instilled in us, kindness, curiosity, and the courage to truly live.
Dad, you were my guide, my laughter, and my heart. You taught me to stay curious, to care deeply, and to live fully. Your light continues to shine through me, in every smile, every joke, every moment of wonder. You may be gone from sight, but you will never leave my heart. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure, today, tomorrow, and always.
