It is with profound sadness that the family of Andrea Rodrigues announces her passing on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the young age of 61. She was surrounded by members of her immediate family and passed away suddenly after courageously facing health challenges over the years.

Andrea was born in Karachi, Pakistan, to the late Matthew and Scholastica Menezes. In 1980, at a friend’s 21st birthday party, Andrea met Sebastian Rodrigues. After some time dating, Sebastian was able to get a very shy girl to fall in love. Andrea and Sebastian were happily married on May 16, 1987 in Mississauga, Canada and recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.

Andrea enjoyed hosting “fam jams” at her home, going on vacations with family and friends, trying new recipes, beating Sebastian in a daily game of poker, watching the latest mystery movies while sneaking in some chips, and shopping for deals with her girls.

Andrea will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Sebastian, and her two daughters, Kim (Francis) and Tanya. She is predeceased by her sister Iris (Terrance) and will be missed by her older sisters: Linda, Yvette (Emil), Marian (Glen), Gloria (Vernon), her younger brother Ivan and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel (1981 Dundas Street W.) Mississauga, on Friday from 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Merciful Redeemer Parish (2775 Erin Centre Blvd.), Mississauga.
A private family burial will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
