Departed, on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Ivan Franko Ukrainian Home, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Michael. Cherished mother of Jerry (Helga) and Roman (Lesia). Adored grandmother of John (Rita), Christina (Roberto), Steven, Andrew and Alexandra (Justin), and great-grandmother of Michael, Olivia and Daniel.
Anastazja began her life in Ukraine as one of nine siblings. Driven by courage and hope, she left everything familiar behind and began a new life in Canada, enduring early hardships, like so many immigrants. Her deep faith remained a guiding light throughout her life, shaping her strength and compassion for others. A woman of unwavering patriotism, she held a profound love for her homeland, cherishing her heritage and values and passing these qualities on to her family.
Anastazja’s legacy of faith, love, and perseverance will live on in our hearts and memories, treasured always. Eternal Memories/Vichnaya Pamyat
Family and Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto (just east of Jane St.) on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Panachyda 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4 Bellwoods Ave., on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 12:00pm noon. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery, Etobicoke.
