Alyson Marie Frankie

August 2, 1987 - January 27, 2026

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Alyson Frankie on January 27, 2026.

Alyson graduated from Queen’s University with a B. Com. in 2009 and a J.D./Masters of Industrial Relations in 2014. She was called to the bar in 2015 and practiced pension and benefits law at Hicks Morley, Stikeman Elliott LLP, and most recently the University Pension Plan.

Beloved wife of Logan St. John-Smith; daughter of Michael and the late Darcie; daughter-in-law of Linda and Bart; sister to Tina (Alex) and Tyler (Floriane); “Auntie Aly” to Margot and Madison. Alyson also leaves behind her loving dog, Clover, who always ensured she had a reason to smile. Her enthusiasm for enjoying life in her free time was easily shared by those who loved her. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Butler” Chapel, 4933 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON, on Thursday, February 5th from 2 - 8 p.m.

Funeral Service at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Rd, Toronto, on Friday, February 6th at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or Canadian Blood Services.

Alyson has been a strong presence in my life the past six years. She reached out to me after my diagnosis -one I still struggle to name - and not long after, I learned of hers. From that point on, she was never far from my thoughts, especially these last two years. I would text her often just to say I was thinking of her.
I cherished the times we spent together. Alyson had a way of making life more manageable - sharing ideas, tips on where to shop, how to make things easier, even how spending $200 could still get you free delivery. She was a true foodie. She offered health advice, fashion advice, and always did it with care and humour.
I admired Alyson deeply - her brilliance, her spirit, and the way she lived as fully as she could, even knowing her time was limited. And I admired Logan, her husband, and the love and care he gave her.
I’m struggling to find the right words, but the truth is simple: I will miss you.
