In Celebration of

Alyce Roberts

March 4, 1926 -  October 14, 2017

Alyce passed away peacefully at 91 years of age with her loving family by her side on the evening of Saturday, October 14th.

Alyce was the daughter of the late Samuel Pearson and the late Amy (Ward) Pearson, the wife of her life-long love the late Ronald B. Roberts, and sister to the late Allen Ward Pearson. She is survived by her loving daughter, Glynis, her husband David Austin and her adored granddaughter Katey.

Alyce dealt with many physical challenges in her later years. She was an inspiration to all, living with grace, dignity, resilience and such a positive outlook. She touched so many souls in her life and created remarkable friendships where ever she was. Her small extended family was greatly enlarged by her wealth of friendships from her neighbours in Thornhill, the vast network of Canadian Tire dealer families Ron worked with, the volunteers she worked with at St. John’s Rehab, and cherished friends in her last home at the Residences at Port Credit. With no regrets, Alyce truly had a “life well lived”.

A very special thanks to the compassionate Palliative Care team at Credit Valley Hospital for their heartfelt care in her final days.

A celebration service and reception will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 11:00am at the Oakville Golf Club (1154 Sixth Line, Oakville). In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to Parkinson Canada or St. John’s Rehab Hospital.
