Allan Willard MacLeod, born April 29th, 1930 in Antigonish N.S. and raised in Mulgrave N.S. was promoted to glory November 28th, 2025.
He is survived by his wife Mary (née Robertson), after 71 happy years of marriage, and his four children, Ruth (Rick), Grace (Doug), Paul (Maria) and Elizabeth, and their 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Nita and Neil and his brother Walter.
A life long learner, Allan started out as a teacher at 18 in a 1-room school house with grades 1-8, and after coming back from France, he returned to teaching, including French.
A graduate of London Bible Institute and Wheaton College, he was called to be the 1st pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Huntsville. Allan also started another church plant in southern France. He continued preaching in his retirement in northern Quebec, Cape Breton, and wherever needed. He also taught Bible Studies for many years.
Being a humanitarian, he volunteered with Against Drunk Driving, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Canadian Association of the Deaf, the Clan MacLeod Society of Central Ontario, and in hospice work.
For his great service to the community, Allan was honoured with an award from Mayor Hazel McCallion
A man of deep faith and strong principles, he was loved and respected by many.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Allan's memory may be made to Fellowship Fund, specifically the Jamaican Response to help rebuild communities devastated by Hurricane Melissa this past October 28th.
