In Celebration of

Alistair Gordon Young

April 14, 1940 -  March 4, 2024

After a long illness, our beloved husband, father and grandfather left us broken-hearted. His kindness and compassion to all who knew him will be forever remembered.

He leaves his wife Anne and his children David, Stephen (Tricia), and grandson Hunter, Wade (Tracy) and twins Alexandra and Sydney, and Pamela Marino (Anthony), and Alessandra.

He was a gentle Scot, who loved his family deeply and was always the first to reach out when needed. He will be dearly missed but is now at peace and without suffering.

Cremation will take place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date.

If desired, donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Society.

Al was a kind, gentle soul. He was thoughtful and funny with a quick wit and hearty chuckle. Years ago when we moved to Toronto, Anne quickly adopted us and so did Al. They both became family and we all shared so many happy times together. Each time we did, we got to know each other more deeply and our lives became lovingly interconnected. They watched our girls grow, get married and welcomed our grandchildren. This lovely man was a treasure and we will miss you Al. You were our good friend, a kind and loving husband and we will be forever grateful to have you as part of our family. Rest in peace now.

Dear Anne & Family: A very sad time for all of you to lose this wonderful, kind, caring man. We spent a few good visits with he and Anne over the years and loved Al the first time we met him! He and I (Joan) shared a common bond too, we both were “professional” snorers! But Al was the best and he got his own special snore room! Gosh, we had some great laughs on that subject. I learned from you, Anne, what a wonderful husband and father he was! You were all blessed to have had him in your lives and we will never forget him.
With much love, Rob and Joan Hall, Sarnia
