It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet Alicja Wojcik, who left us far too soon on February 25, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by her devoted family. She is survived by her loving husband, Leszek, her two children, Pawel (Iwonka) and Kasia; her brother Mirek and wife Grazyna; and their family - Tomasz (Karolina) and their children, Franek and Zuzia, and Agnieszka (Venci), and their sons Borys and Iwo; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
Alicja, known to everyone as Ala, was so full of life it showed in her smile. Ala’s travels filled her life with beautiful memories and adventures. She was as outgoing and happy in company of others as she was being cozy at home - she was the sweetest, kindest, most generous person in every way. Our happiness filled her with the greatest joy, our sadness broke her heart, and our hugs and kisses always made everything better.
Ala loved being surrounded by family and friends, entertaining with warmth, and filling rooms with fun and laughter, whipping up meals inspired by her favourite food shows, working in her garden until sunrise, bravely battling the bugs that bit her in return. One of her favourite yearly activities was simmering tomato sauce with her friend Giovanni while sipping espressos in his sunlit yard.
Ala always had us laughing with her habit of keeping everything she ever bought or received; if it held even the smallest memory, it stayed. Her hours-long conversations with her mom, stretching from lunch to dinner every time, were something we always smiled about.
Ala’s endless kindness, that infectious smile, and her truly open heart will live on in our hearts forever.
May she rest in eternal peace.
Ala will be laid to rest with her parents in Wroclaw, Poland.
