Alfredo passed away peacefully in his hundredth year with family by his side at Toronto Western Hospital.
Devoted husband to the late Luisa, and loving father to Arnold, Manuel, John Luis (Rita), and Margaret. Adoring grandfather to Michael, Peter, Jason, Luis, Gordon, David and the late Sean and cherished great grandchildren; Brandon, Celine, Ava, Bev, Liz, Claire, Evan, Madeleine, Ella and great-great granddaughters Maddison and Braidynce.
Alfredo born in the Azores, Portugal was a cabinet maker by trade. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in Toronto. Alfredo loved Canada and was proud of the family he raised there. He always looked forward to Saturday night hockey.
A very independent person Alfredo continued to live in the family home after the death of his beloved wife Luisa until he was 95. The last few years he lived in Kensington Gardens. The family extends its thanks to the staff at Kensington for their wonderful care.
He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
