We are deeply saddened by the sudden illness and passing of Alexandra “Sasha” Vokurka.

Survived by her parents Edward & Agnes Vokurka and Alexandras’ husband Bart Meuring.

Sasha was born September 25, 1965 in Prauge of the Czech Republic. She was born in the same hospital that her father Edward. Sasha arrived in Canada in 1967 and led a passionate life where she worked as a videographer with the movie industry and for the last numerous years with the Peel School Board.

When Sasha was not working, she had an energetic life style where she enjoyed her passion for sailing, both cruising and racing, skiing, where she was an accomplished ski racer and Ski Patroller to playing beach volleyball where she would bring her beloved boxer Wilco with her.

Sasha had been strong enduring serious health issues over the last portion of her life where she was tackling whatever was thrown at her. She was a brave and strong woman.

We will miss her.
