Love and condolences to Lena, Anthony, Alexandra & family.
Alex was a good friend to my husband, Barry who predeceased him in 2024. They worked together in Montreal at Air Canada and both our families transferred to Calgary at the same time in 1973. Alex's parents made our family feel very welcome in Calgary and we enjoyed many meals with them over the years. Our families got together often and we became good friends living in the same neighborhood. We were very sad when they moved to Winnipeg but have continued to keep in touch. Alex will be remembered fondly by myself and my family.
Alex was a longtime colleague and good friend of my father, Barry, and of our whole family. When I was a teenager, I remember our two families spending wonderful Christmas dinners at his parents’ home in Calgary with Alex, Lena, Alexandra, and Anthony.
Even after Alex, Lena, and the kids moved first to Winnipeg and later to Mississauga, our families stayed in touch. Whenever Alex came back to Calgary to visit his parents, he always made time to connect with us, and it was a joy to see him.
Alex had an interest in restoring cars. Ragnar and I bought two Ford Escapes from him over the years which turned out to be great vehicles for us.
Alex had a gift for conversation. We all loved hearing his thoughts about Canada and catching up on news about his family. He will be deeply missed.
Ragnar and I send our heartfelt condolences to his entire family, especially to Lena, Alexandra, and Anthony.
Lena and family, our deepest condolences on the loss of Alex. I have many happy memories working on cars and going to wrecker lots with him. Forever in my heart.
Love Heidi and Jody
