In Celebration of

Aleksander Dluzen

November 16, 1931 -  September 1, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aleksander Dłużen at the age of 89 at St Joseph’s Health Centre in the early morning on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Aleksander Dłużen was born in a small village called Hucisko located in the South Eastern part of Poland. One of 12 children of the beloved late Julia and Feliks Dłużen. Attended only a few years of elementary school. In his early 20’s, Aleksander joined the Polish Army. After serving his time in the army, he joined his brother to start a life in Wrocław. He was employed in a metal factory called Hutmen. The year was 1991, when Aleksander permanently joined his wife Bronisława and daughter Kasia in Canada. During his time in Canada, Aleksander met a lot of valuable, long lasting friends. He had a deep passion for farming, gardening and landscaping. He also enjoyed his coffee and socialization with other people from various cultures. His main method of transportation was a bicycle whenever it was possible. Aleksander will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Bronisława and three children, Kasia, Jasiu and Małgosia.

Aleksander leaves behind six grandsons, Kamil, John, Maciek, Domenic, Szymek, Kacper and two great grandsons, Matthew and Michael. He also leaves behind his only sister, Karolina Zasowski.

A special thank you to both the nursing staff and doctors at St Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto and Eatonville Care Centre (Anna, Beata, Frances, Linda, Jin) for the special care and attention paid to Aleksander during his entire stay.
