Fondly remembering Aldona, mother of my best friend Ramona. I've known Aldona for fifty years, she was always a quiet, hard-working, determined and serious woman. Aldona and Jonas lived in the house next door to my family for 48 of the 50 years I knew her. I always felt very comfortable knowing that "John" and Aldona were right next door. They were the kind of friends who were always ready to help out, or invite you over for some barbeque on the back patio (and her apple cake and plum cake were a joy!).
Aldona wasn't one to show others a lot of her emotion - but as we talked often 'over the fence' about our families, pets, work and just ... anything, I know she was quietly very proud of her family and their accomplishments and loved them all very much.
Rest in peace my friend.
