In Celebration of

Albert Henry Peter Le Forestier

February 12, 1919 -  May 20, 2018

Born February 12, 1919, in London, England, he passed away on May 20, 2018, in Toronto. He was married to his late, beloved wife Mary for more than 65 years. Unafraid of adventure, he escaped Nazi-occupied France in 1942 by crossing the Pyrenees Mountains to Spain, worked for Lever Brothers in Benin, Africa, until 1948, and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He became a Vice President at Intercontinental Warehousing. He had many interests: wilderness canoeing, history, woodworking, sailing, art, travel, food, wine, and music. He was a spirited conversationalist with a sly wit. He and Mary were devoted congregants at the Church of the Transfiguration. He was also the loving father of John (Noelle), Janine (late Cameron), Paul (Cherri), Hélène (Dave), Gabrielle (Gerry), and Marc (Mary-Beth), Grandpa to Christopher, Jenni, Daniel, Joel, Conor, Emmet, Claire, Alex, Julian, and Simone, and Great- Grandpa to Joséphine. He will be deeply missed.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.), on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Rosary 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Transfiguration, 11 Aldgate Ave., Toronto, on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. If desired, please donate to Blind Sailing Canada at info@blindsailing.org. Condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca.

My sincere condolences to John, and family, on the passing of a very interesting man.
John; I of course know rather little of your father's experiences in life, beside what you have shared. I do see so much of a resemblance of your father in you, from the picture provided.
The picture actually makes me think that I may have met him, or known him in the past.
May he rest in peace, and great memories of him, rest in many hearts forever.

Darling Uncle Peter,
such sadness that he is no longer on this earth .I thought he would live for ever. His sense of humour, his generosity, his intellect will all be missed but most of all his powerful love for his family . My enduring memory of him will be his fabulous laugh .
Dear Uncle Peter rest in peace
Love Camilla x
