Life Stories

Janet MacKenzie-Cohen (Dear friend and Co-worker and Mentor)

Entered September 25, 2024 from Toronto -

At one time, Alan was subject to a sort of fainting symptom, where he would just fall down for a moment and then get back up again soon enough - He was told that making trips to emergency (which other people felt necessary) were not warranted and that accordingly that he must stay home and not be out and about without an escort -
My introduction to this change in lifestyle, was an email invitation to lunch which read -
"Help!!! Please come!!! I am being held prisoner in my own house!!!"
LOL!!! Of course I was thrilled - a meal with Alan was always such a treat - (not the food) but the endless stories that he had -
"Did I ever tell you about" - (and off he would go on another hilarious chapter ).
Knowing Alan was one of the most important blessings given me in this life, and I will surely miss him.
He was a source of endless entertainment, a gifted raconteur, and the most loyal of friends - I will very much miss him -
