So sorry to hear of Alan's passing Cheryl. He certainly had a struggle and I'm hoping he's feeling much better now in heaven, maybe Barbados's heaven!
Take care Cheryl,

Dear Cheryl -- we are so sad that our beloved Alan has 'slipped the surly bonds of earth' and we will never be together again. But I suspect he is in that beautiful place he seemed to see. And I can't think of a better place to rest, eternally, than the warm sand of a perfect beach. This is a wonderful picture of him. Takes us back to all those times we spent together, enjoying good music and conversation and laughter -- and Alan's meticulously-concocted curries. We have loved you both, all these years. Cheryl, you were a blessing to him, and we grieve with you -- and for you.

Alan was always my coolest uncle. He taught me to ride a bicycle. Will be hugely missed.
