In Celebration of

Alan Cruikshank

May 19, 1961 -  January 16, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alan on January 16, 2020 at the age of 58. Loving son of Jean and the late Gordon Cruikshank. Alan will be dearly missed by sisters Susan Leger (Ron) and Lynn Rowland (Mike). Adored Uncle of Kristen, Bryan, Nicole, Britany, Joshua, Jared and most importantly his faithful companion Dewy. We will always remember Al’s smile and laughter.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel at 4933 Dundas St. W., (between Kipling & Islington Aves.), Etobicoke on Monday from 4-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm.

For those who wish, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

The laughter is gone, but the memories of Al will live on. Al was a fantastic guy and a good friend. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. If you had a problem he was always there to help you out. If you were having a bad day all you had to do was drop by Al's desk and your spirits would be lifted. He was so entertaining and will always by remembered for his crazy sense of humour and ability to make everyone laugh.

We were saddened and shocked to hear of Alan’s passing. He has served on the YCC 215 Board for many years and was a valued Treasurer. We will always remember Alan walking his dog Dewy; he loved his retrievers. Sending sympathy and our sincerest condolences to Alan’s family.
