ADAM EDWARD TURNER
November 16, 1967 – December 16, 2013

It is with profound sadness that we announce Adam’s passing just weeks after his 46th birthday. Adam died peacefully at home after a very special weekend surrounded by family and friends.

Loving husband to Christina, best ever dad to Cole, Finn, and Kate. Son of John C. and Gail Turner. Cherished brother to John (Ingrid and children Lauren, Hannah and Clayton), Kimberly (Peter and children Morgan, Alexandra, Caroline and Adam Murphy), and Richard (Alison and children Alex, Sara and Emma). Son-in-Law to Eckhart and Silvia Mehler. Brother-in-law to Felix (Margit and children Leya, Konstantin, Lili, Olivia), and Robert (Emma and children Wilhelm, Anwyn, Camilla, Robbi). Best friend and kindred spirit to Duncan McGregor (Shelby and children Mack, James and Dash).

To quote a good friend, God broke the mould when he made Adam. He was truly one of a kind. He touched so many with his warmth and kindness during his very short life. He joked, he laughed, he smiled, and he was always happy with other’s success. Adam was much loved by many. He had a huge circle of family and friends and nothing made him happier than spending time with them. His favourite place on earth was Lake of Bays and he loved nothing more than a boat ride on a beautiful day. He was a great golfer and an even better dancer.

Adam had a very successful career in commercial real estate. He was respected for his entrepreneurial spirit, his razor sharp accuracy and his uncanny creativity.

Friends may visit at The Estates of Sunnybrook - Vaughan Estate, 2075 Bayview Avenue, on Wednesday December 18 from 3:30 - 5:30 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Adam’s life will take place on Thursday December 19 at St. John’s York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive, starting at 5:00 pm.

The Turner family would like to thank the outstanding and loving medical care he received, especially from Dr. James Perry and his team, and Drs. Jennifer Shapiro and Victor Cellarious of Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, nurse Heather Whelan, as well as the many support work angels.

Donations may be directed to the Odette CNS Site Research Fund made out to the Sunnybrook Foundation to help Dr. Perry find a cure.
